I also added HD screen captures from last Sunday’s episode to the gallery yesterday.
And lastly, I came across a short article containing an interview with Emily about recent rumors of some tension on the set of B&S and about her own personal lifestyle choices:
‘Brothers & Sisters’ Cast Saves Drama for Cameras, Says Emily VanCamp
By Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith
Reports of drama on the set of “Brothers & Sisters” began surfacing during cast member Balthazar Getty’s affair with British actress Sienna Miller last summer. You’ll recall they were caught, by paparazzi, cavorting on the Amalfi Coast with her topless and him a married man, now separated. The scandal is said to have caused Getty’s castmate Matthew Rhys — who used to date Miller — to stop talking to him.
But the show’s Emily VanCamp paints a different picture. She claims they never let personal issues get in the way of work. “I think in this business there will always be rumors and people talking. Sometimes it’s positive, and sometimes it’s negative,” notes the former “Everwood” star.
A few weeks ago ‘Entertainment Weekly’ auctioned off some candid photos for charity on Ebay of various celebs at their Pre-Emmy bash. Your’s truly just so happened to win the photo of Emily. Yay me! (And sorry to whoever it was I outbid.) The photo finally came in the mail yesterday and I went ahead and made an HQ scan and added it to the gallery. Enjoy!
I’m not sure how many of you watch the AMC show Mad Men, (if you don’t, you should!), but during a recent interview with The Chicago Tribune, series creator Matthew Weiner divulged that Emily was the first actress that came to mind for the part of Peggy! Here’s what he had to say:
“When I started, my thought for Peggy was Emily VanCamp [from “Everwood”]. She’s a tremendous actress. And Greg [Berlanti, creator of “Everwood” and executive producer of “Brothers & Sisters,” on which VanCamp now appears] will never let her go. I’ve talked to him about it, I go, “She’s so great,” and he’s like, “Yeah. She’s working with me the rest of her life.” [laughs]”
It’s good to know that people in Hollywood are noticing just how talented she is, not just us fans.
This month at hurley.com, there is an online auction for clothing pieces (specially t-shirts and corsets) that have been customized by various names in the biz, and Emily is one of them. Co-stars Calista Flockhart, Dave Annable (his is pretty funny), Matthew Rhys (his is funny as well LOL!), Ron Rifkin, and Sally Field also have pieces up for auction. Sally’s t-shirt has already been sold but her corset is still there.
The opening bid for Emily’s t-shirt is $100 with no current bids yet (click the thumbnail to your left for a larger picture). The auction will be open until October 30th, 2008, so if you’re interested, go here to bid on her lovely design! 100% of the proceeds from the auction will go to B4BC (Boarding For Breast Cancer), a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote and teach awareness about breast cancer.
