Emily finally attended a new event yesterday! It’s been about five months since her last one. And she’s back to being a blond after her brief stint as a brunette while filming Ben Hur over the summer. It actually looks like she’s gone to a much lighter blond than before. Either way, she looks absolutely stunning! Pics from the event, including a couple HQ, have been added to the gallery.

Back in April, the magazine Who Weekly, which is kind of like the Australian equivalent of Us Weekly, had their ‘100 Most Beautiful People’ issue. In the issue there was a section called ‘Most Beautiful Lovers,’ which listed fictional couples and the actors who portray them. Making the list of ‘beautiful lovers’ were couples like Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart, the cast of Gossip Girl, Julia Roberts & Clive Owen, and… Emily and Dave Annable for their portrayal of Rebecca and Justin! I made a scan of the full-page picture and article and added it to the gallery.

You can also check out the new official website for the film at carriersmovie.com, where you can watch the trailer if you haven’t already seen it. FYI: The film is scheduled for release on September 4th in the US.

Kristin Kreuk, who is starring alongside Emily in the upcoming Ben Hur remake, has posted a new blog entry on girlsbydesign.com about her experiences filming in Morocco. Seems Emily made quite a positive impression on her, as Kristin posted some really sweet things about Em and is even interested in getting Emily to take part in the GBD site! I, for one, think that would be really cool. Anyways, here’s what Kristin had to say about Emily:

“Emily VanCamp is probably the most intelligent and interesting young actress I have met… She is 23 and has what I think is rare in us young folk… actually it is just rare period… She is actively interested in responsibility and accountability! I love that.” And also: “For GBD I really love Emily VanCamp. I want to get Emily to do the Sexy 7 as well as some other stuff… What are your thoughts? She is really a great example of strength and femininity. There is a grace about her and a commitment to humanitarian endeavors and acting that is really inspirational. I hope you all get to know her better.”

I just wanted to remind all you EVC fans that the second season of Everwood is finally coming to DVD this upcoming Tuesday, June 16. You can currently pre-order it at Amazon.com and other online retailers or you can just hit the stores on Tuesday to pick up a copy. If you don’t yet have season one, you can currently get it at Amazon for only $12.49. I also saw it on sale at Best Buy for $12.99. Our webmistress S. will be making screencaps of Emily’s deleted scenes. So stay tuned for that. Also, in a bit of light news, we got a little shout-out from The Environmental Media Association (EMA) for our recent reporting of Emily’s involvement in the L.A. school district organic garden program. You can find a picture of the site in their online press archive. They got our URL wrong, lol, but it’s still kind of cool and flattering to be mentioned next to the likes of People, Yahoo!, and ET.

Back in 2000, before Everwood or even the short-lived Glory Days, Emily starred in a TV mini-series based on the life of former first lady Jackie Kennedy. It was one of her very first TV appearances. She was only in a couple of short flashback scenes as a young, 13-year-old Jackie, but it’s still a cool and rare glimpse at her early acting days. She’s even wearing a black wig! Anyways, I managed to get my hands on a copy of the series and made some exclusive screen captures.
