In honor of the premiere of Revenge this coming fall, I decided to give the site a whole new look. I know I just changed it a few months back, but this time I changed the whole theme, not just the color scheme. I also changed the layout in the gallery. As always, the site looks best in the most up-to-date browsers, especially Firefox. If you’re still using an old browser, like IE8, it won’t look quite as nice. If you notice anything not displaying correctly, feel free to let me know. Hope you guys like the new look.
I like the new layout, but to be honest the purple one was a bit better, fit in with Revenge well. The picture is terrible and should go, I know it was for charity, but you should be able to see her whole face at the top of the website.
Hm, can’t complain about the layout, I can find everything I need very easy, like that you now included Emily’s tweets. But I can’t get over the white background, for me it feels cold and like a empty page somehow, I liked the purple colour that was before, please give it some backcolour, I love your site, I visited it every day. I have to say Groveramy is somehow right, the picture is really nice, but we need to see Emily’s beautiful face. Don’t want to sound negative, just some creative comments, you do a great job giving us the latest news about Emily, without you I’d search the web every day for hourse. 😉
First of all, I appreciate the feedback and both of your honesty. To address some of your complaints:
@Groveramy: I totally understand what you’re saying about the darker theme perhaps fitting better with Revenge, but keep in mind that this is first and foremost a site about Emily, not just Revenge. So imo the layout doesn’t necessarily have to fit with whatever project she’s currently working on. At least, that’s how I see it. 😉
@ForVanAngel: I actually like the white background for the posts. We used to have a white background way back a few layouts ago. And I was tired of the dark colors of the last layout that we’ve had for over a year. So, I thought I’d try something different. I know it takes some getting used to after the site being darker for a while, but I hope you’ll grow to like it. 😉
And about both of your comments about the header image, I took them into consideration and I believe I’ve come up with something that will please everyone. Say hello to Mr. Slideshow. 🙂
