And rounding out the videos for today, Emily also made a quick appearance on Good Morning America this morning. I would have loved to have watched this live, had ABC actually listed her as a guest for today and not tomorrow! Major fail on ABC’s part. But I still got the video regardless, so no harm I guess. ‘Revenge’s’ Emily VanCamp: ‘TV can’t get rid of me!’
By: Jay BobbinEmily VanCamp knows “Revenge” is hers, but she’s actually much more grateful than vengeful.
The young star of the ABC drama series, premiering Wednesday (Sept. 21), doesn’t hesitate to credit the television producers who have given her major breaks along the way: Kevin Williamson (“Glory Days”), Greg Berlanti (“Everwood,” “Brothers & Sisters”) and now, Mike Kelley of “Revenge.”
“A lot of great people have allowed me to do this for a long time,” the Ontario, Canada-born VanCamp tells Zap2it, “and I count my lucky stars. Can you believe it? TV can’t get rid of me! I’ve been working steadily for 10 years, and I’ve had a lot of great champions in my life.
“I love doing television,” VanCamp adds. “Every time I finish something, I think, ‘Maybe I’ll leave that side of the business alone for a little while.’ I love the closure that making a film gives you, but I also love the stability of doing television and taking a character on a long journey. Being able to play out who the person really is is fascinating to me.”
On “Revenge,” VanCamp portrays another Emily, a young woman who infiltrates the rich and beautiful of the Hamptons to even the score for wrongs done to her family. The ensemble cast also includes veteran talents Madeleine Stowe (“The Last of the Mohicans”) and Henry Czerny (“Mission: Impossible”), but VanCamp clearly is first among equals in the show, and she’s trying to take it in stride.
“This is the first time I’ve ever felt the weight of really carrying something,” she allows, “and it’s very nerve-racking. I have to remind myself every day to stay calm and not let the pressure get to me, but in a weird way, I also feel prepared.
“I think each thing I’ve done has been sort of meant to be, and now, I’m ready for this. I’m just trying to feel that sense of gratitude all the time. There’s not a moment that goes by when I’m on set and not pinching myself. It’s a good place to be.”

Oh, sorry, yeah, now I see it. When I see new Emily videos I forget everything else, you could change the colour of the website to red and I wouldn’t recognize it. 😉 Thanks Grey, it’s great that you are still submitting videos and stuff here, honestly I didn’t expect that, so I always thank Shirphie, I try to keep my eyes open. 😉
More updates? Now I’m giving up, it’s too much. 😀
1st Video: Though the scene when Emily almost hit Nolan was too much IMO, I would love to see Emily VC doing some martial art. Emily looks breathtaking, how can these women stay so cool while talking to her. 😉 (Maybe cos they are women ^^) Revenge is sweet and so is Emily. Why doesn’t ABC use “our” ff-tagline? Video was way too short, the ending was abrupt. Emily has worked on 3 (or 4 shows), has her own show now, I think not enough people know her, we fans know almost everything she says now, but for the Emily rookies it would be interesting to hear more. They easily could talk 20 minutes with her, that would be enough time.
2nd (or 3rd) Video: I think Emily has too much makeup on. We know that she looks great and she does here too, but she doesn’t need to wear so much. Just saying, am not a girl, just an obsessed and protective fan. If you know the pilot, you know how fake Emily Thorne is (wasn’t so aware of that scene, but now of course I am), can’t wait to watch the pilot for the second time.
