By: Eunice Oh (People) & Extra TV Staff
“Young Hollywood celebrities are going green, embarking on a project to bring organic gardens and greenery to urban schools in L.A. The Environmental Media Association (EMA) and the Los Angeles Unified School District have teamed up with personal care brand Yes To Inc. to support the planting of organic gardens and greenery in urban schools. The EMA board members, including Amy Smart, Nicole Richie, Maroon 5, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Rosario Dawson, Matthew Rhys, Emily VanCamp, Lance Bass, Anna Getty, Olivia Wilde and more, have each offered to adopt a school, help plant a garden and check in on the students throughout the year to raise awareness for the program and help teach kids about environmental education. The program is scheduled to launch in early summer.”
