Emily VanCamp Previews Brothers & Sisters’ Wedding
by Matt Webb Mitovich
Kitty Walker is heading for a wedding on the Dec. 2 episode of ABC’s Brothers & Sisters. With the big day nearing, TVGuide.com invited Emily VanCamp, who plays Kitty’s stepsis Rebecca, to preview the nuptials, as well as weigh in on certain rumblings of on-set romances.
TVGuide.com: First off, I want to say that you are very pretty.
Emily VanCamp: I thank you!
TVGuide.com: You also appear to be very tall….
VanCamp: I am pretty tall, actually.
TVGuide.com: As much as I wanted to bump into you at TV Guide’s Emmys after-party, a part of me was like, “Man, she’ll be towering over me.”
VanCamp: [Laughs] That’s hilarious!
TVGuide.com: Is this your first writers’ strike?
VanCamp: Oh yeah. And it’s pretty scary. I’m hoping it gets resolved quickly because there are a lot of jobs on the line.
For the Emily fans who are celebrating Thanksgiving this year, all of us at the site would like to wish you and your family a happy and safe holiday travel 🙂 Enjoy the turkey (or roasted chicken, or tofurkey, heh…) and time with your loved ones! Be well!
Don’t forget there’s an all-new B&S this Sunday!!!
Shirphie & Lisa
Hey you guys! This is Lisa, the new co-web. I’m so glad to be able to help out with this site!
I’ve added screencaps for the Brothers & Sisters episodes that were missing, so now all the caps are up to date!
I’ve also added screencaps for three Season 2 Everwood episodes:
Our girl has attended two events in two days! Fantastic! This past Thursday Emily went to Motorola’s 9th Anniversary Party, then on Friday she went to the Peace Over Violence Humanitarian Awards with the cast of Brothers & Sisters. I have added mostly MQ pictures from both events to the gallery. (Thanks to GreyEyes from FF for the first six from “Motorola…” and Stephi from Gossip Girl Media for the first six HQ ones from “Peace Over Violence…”)
I also added some other pictures as well:
209 x 2×02 An American Family – Screen Captures
187 x 2×03 History Repeating – Screen Captures
002 x Session #12 (Thanks Andrea!) Please credit if used
002 x Session #13 (Thanks Andrea!) Please credit if used
Also, I have some news regarding the site to share with you guys. As most of you know, I have run the site by myself since I started it nearly 5 years ago, but now that I’ve started college it seems I don’t have as much time as I used to to update. As a result, I am proud to announce that someone will be joining the site as co-webmaster!
Lisa, who is actually my online bff, will be the new co-webmaster. I’ve known her close to 5 years (around the time I started this site) and she is just wonderful. She used to run Roswell Media but now she has some sites in development, which is great! Her joining this site is a long time coming and I’m very happy she’s apart of it now.
She will be updating the site whenever I cannot and helping in any other way possible. Give her a big warm welcome!
Yes! Great news! “Black Irish” will finally be released on DVD January 8th, 2008. I have been waiting 2 years for this so no surprise that I’m excited. The DVD artwork cover is to your left, but I know it’s small so I have added it to the gallery for everyone to see. In terms of DVD extras, it seems the only one will be a Behind the Scenes Featurette, but better than nothing at all!
For more info about the release, click here.
I have also made some small “Black Irish gallery additions:
001 x Behind the Scenes (Credit: Black Irish Official Site)
001 x Production / Studio Images (Credit: Black Irish Official Site)
002 x Official Site Images
003 x Movie Posters
Also, here is a video (taken by larry-411) of Emily with co-star Michael Angarano and some other people who worked with the film at a Q&A session that took place Friday, October 26th in L.A. after the premiere of the film.
Mark your calendars west coasters! Today I received an email from a woman who works for Anywhere Road, an independent film production and distribution company. Regular visitors know that they picked up “Black Irish” for distribution over the summer. Anyway, she informed me that Emily will be attending the after party for the film following the L.A. screening. This will take place on Friday, October 26th. Here is more information from the event:

I really hope some of you are able to make this event. If you are in the Los Angeles area, take advantage of this opportunity. Sadly, I won’t be able to go since I live on the opposite coast, but if any of you do make it, please don’t hesitate to send in your fan encounters/pictures/etc. Thank you and hope you have a great time there
